Brett Welch, LPC originally hails from Baltimore, MD and has lived in Richmond VA since 2009. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and English from Bucknell University in 2002, her Master’s in Counseling from Marymount University in 2006 and her Post Master’s Clinical Mental Health Certificate from Regent University in 2020. She is an outpatient psychotherapist, who sees adults and children in person and virtually. She has over a decade of experience as a teacher and school counselor in the public school system, is a certified trauma practitioner and has additional training in play therapy, parts work, polyvagal techniques, Safe and Sound protocol and expressive therapeutic interventions. Specializations include working with pre-school and elementary-age children, maternal mental health, those experiencing acute and complex trauma, anxiety, parent coaching and co-parenting. Brett lives in Henrico with her husband, their two girls, two dogs and a garden that always needs more plants.
