ABOUT
Brett Welch, LPC, NCC originally hails from Baltimore, MD and has lived in Richmond VA since 2009. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and English from Bucknell University in 2002, her Master’s in Counseling from Marymount University in 2006 and her Post Master’s Clinical Mental Health Certificate from Regent University in 2020. She is an outpatient psychotherapist who sees individual children in person and adults in person or virtually. She has over a decade of experience as a teacher and school counselor in the private and public school system, is a certified parent coach and has additional training and past certifications in trauma in children, play therapy, pathological demand avoidance (Level 1 and 2 through PDANA), parts work, polyvagal techniques, Safe and Sound protocol and expressive therapeutic interventions. Her specializations include working with pre-school and elementary-age children and maternal mental health. Brett lives in Henrico with her husband, their two daughters, one wild dog and a garden that always needs more plants.
